A man died Wednesday night after renting a gun and shooting himself at Rieg's Gun Shop on South Orange Blossom Trail, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said the man rented a gun for target practice.
After firing at targets, he turned the gun on himself about 6:40 p.m., shooting himself in the head, the sheriff's office said.
The man -- whose name was not released -- was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

MADRID (Reuters) - Spanish police have arrested a man whom they suspect hired a contract killer to murder his boss in a desperate bid to avoid being laid off, newspaper El Pais reported on Tuesday.
The head of audiovisual services at the Barcelona International Convention Center contracted a Colombian man who shot and killed the director of the convention center on Feb 9, according to police.
The director had planned to lay off the arrested man as part of a restructuring project, police said.

Apparently, three young men were unhappy with their burger order so they called 9-1-1 repeatedly tying up the lifesaving lines for nearly 20 minutes.
First responder Andrew Mickelson took the call.
“I told him it was something he should take up with the manager because it wasn't something the police was going to get involved with,” said Mickelson.
Police released the 9-1-1 recordings.
